What Contracts Are Affected The statute applies to all construction contracts that are entered after January 1, 2012. I attended a conference in Miami earlier this week hosted by CFO Publishing with an exciting lineup of guest speakers and two jam-packed days of networking and education. One of the first speakers to address the audience was Barry Schwartz, Dorwin Cartwright Professor of Social Theory and Social Action at Swarthmore College.
